Vedior Professional Services Reports Record 2005 Sales Growth

-- Two New Businesses Planned For 2006 --

BOSTON, MA, 1.16.06 - Vedior Professional Services, the Boston-based management consulting and executive search and staffing firm, today announced that nationwide billings increased at a record rate in 2005 to $50 million.

"The professional sectors we serve, law, finance, and human resources, are among the fastest growing in the staffing and executive recruiting industry," said John Meeks, president of Vedior Professional Services (vediorps.com). "Fees from our combined businesses are expected to reach $65 million in 2006, and will top $100 million before the end of the decade as we continue to capitalize on positive trends driving our target markets."

Highlights of the past year, Meeks said, included acquisition of Compliance Inc., a Washington, D. C., legal services firm, expanding Vedior Professional Services capability to provide clients with project management and experienced attorneys in both contract and permanent staffing positions. Ingenium Resources, a start-up business in 2005, became an instant success through placement of chief financial officers, chief operating officers, and corporate controllers in contingency assignments.

Other Vedior Professional Services businesses include AccountPros and Human Resources International (HRi), specializing in accounting and finance, and human resources, respectively, while serving more than 500 clients from 13 offices throughout the U. S.

With a recent office opening in Parsippany, N. J., and expansion into Charlotte, N.C., planned for the first quarter, Vedior Professional Services is laying groundwork for establishing two new businesses, each a pioneer in the niche markets they are intended to fill, Meeks said.

"The first business will be dedicated to diversity recruiting for women and minorities, and the other will focus on placement of CPAs and other senior management positions with annual compensations exceeding $100,000. Vedior Professional Services will be the first executive search and staffing firm in the U. S. with separate businesses focusing entirely on these two growing segments in our target markets."

"The executive recruiting and staffing industry is a traditional bellwether for the economy," Meeks noted, "and the requirements of our clients and the industry in general for both permanent and contract professionals are at the highest levels since the boom era of the 1990s.

"Vedior Professional Services is experiencing a tremendous surge in the number of corporations and professional firms using contract lawyers and financial and human resource professionals as sources for specialized talent and as a strategic tool to control costs.

"The initial influx of retiring Baby Boomers who wish to use their skills in temporary assignments is helping to fuel this upswing. The effects of the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation also continue to create a need for financial specialists to work on a contingency basis with our clients."

Vedior Professional Services is a member of the Vedior Group of Companies (vedior.com) headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. With 2004 sales of $7.8 billion, Vedior is the world's third largest staffing firm, operating through a network of 2,250 offices in 43 countries. Shares are listed on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange under the VDR symbol and included in the AEX index of most actively traded securities.
